Although the initial weather forecast was questionable, the sun was shining for the seventh annual Miracle Open Golf Challenge, July 27, at Deer Run Golf Club in Victoria, Minn. Presented by Eden Trace, this "grown-up golf event for immature adults" raised more than $41,000 for the Miracles of Mitch Foundation.
One of the most unique golf events in the Twin Cities, the Miracle Open featured a variety of activities for the 138 golfers, including hole-in-one games for $10,000 and an automobile, as well beverages and ice cream treats throughout the course. The event also featured lunch, dinner, raffle, as well as silent and live auctions.
We'd like to thank all of our golfers, sponsors and volunteers for supporting the 2009 Miracle Open. You've enabled us to continue growing despite a challenging economic climate and a variety of other golf tournaments competing for your support. You are the key to our success, which will provide important assistance to the families of children battling cancer in Minnesota.
